Settings Management

OnPage Console Settings Overview

Use the Settings section in the OnPage console to centrally manage administrators, their permissions and groups, reusable message templates, and organization-level preferences such as notifications and security.

Step 1: Access the Settings Section

The Settings section provides tools to manage administrative access, permissions, message templates, and organization-wide preferences within the OnPage console. From the Settings menu, you can access Administrators, Create Administrators, Templates, and Preferences.

Step 2: Review and Filter Administrators

Open the Administrators page to see a centralized view of all administrators in your organization.

Use the search bar to locate a specific administrator, or apply filters to narrow results:

  • Filter by admin groups to see administrators belonging to specific groups.
  • Filter by permissions to identify administrators based on their assigned access levels.

Expand an administrator entry to view additional account information, including their assigned groups and permissions.

Step 3: Create a New Administrator

To add a new administrator, select Create Admin or Create Administrator from the Settings menu.

Enter the administrator’s basic details:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

You can then assign the administrator to one or more admin groups and select the permissions appropriate for their role.

Step 4: Configure Administrator Permissions

Assign permissions to provide granular control over what each administrator can do in the console.

Permissions can include actions such as:

  • Creating or editing contacts
  • Managing other areas of the console

Additional dispatch permissions can control access to features such as:

  • Selecting all contacts
  • Viewing dispatcher or channel content

This allows you to match each administrator’s access to their specific responsibilities, instead of granting the same level of control to everyone.

Step 5: Manage Admin Groups

Use Admin Groups to organize administrators and standardize permission sets.

Select Manage Admin Group to view existing groups or create a new one.

Admin groups can be created, edited, or removed as needed.

When creating or editing an administrator, assign them to the appropriate groups. Administrators can also be filtered by their assigned admin groups.

Step 6: Create and Manage Message Templates

Open the Templates section to manage reusable messages for commonly sent communications.

To create a template, provide:

  • Template name
  • Subject
  • Message body

You can also:

  • Configure predefined responses
  • Choose whether the template should be synchronized to mobile devices

Using templates helps dispatchers send frequently used messages quickly and consistently without recreating the content each time.

Step 7: Configure Organization Preferences

Open the Preferences section to adjust organization-level settings.

Preferences are divided into General, Notifications, and Security.

General

Under General, review:

  • Organization information
  • Account ownership details
  • Support information
  • Current email usage

Notifications

Under Notifications, configure when users receive upcoming on-call reminders.

Available options include:

  • 30 minutes in advance
  • 60 minutes in advance
  • Disabled (no reminder)

Security

Under Security, configure how frequently two-factor authentication (2FA) is required.

Available options include:

  • Require verification at each login
  • Every 8 hours
  • Once per day

After making changes in Preferences, select Save to apply them.

The Settings section gives organizations centralized control over administrators, access permissions, reusable templates, notifications, and security preferences within the OnPage console.
